Where Does the Name Come From? Why Is It Called "Medicine For The Soul"?
I have been asked this question many times, and I love it because it shows that people are curious and genuinely interested.
Honestly, I cannot remember exactly where I first heard the phrase "Medicine For The Soul". I certainly did not invent it. The original source of inspiration remains a mystery to me, but I can share what the phrase means to me and why I chose it.
To me, every one of us holds an incredible inner power, the power that allows us to become who we truly are.
When we reach out for help, we are not giving our power away. Instead, we are seeking support in reconnecting with our own strength and ability to create change.
The word medicine is used here as a metaphor for the support my clients receive through hypnotherapy. Most of us understand that medicine does not heal on its own. Instead, it assists and supports the body's natural healing process. Ultimately, it is the body that does the work required for healing and transformation. Medicine simply provides guidance, support, and the tools needed along the way.
I see hypnotherapy in much the same way.
My role is not to "fix" you or heal you for you. My role is to help you rediscover the inner resources, wisdom, and strength that may have been forgotten or hidden beneath life's challenges.
You remain the most important person in your own healing journey.
You are, and always have been, the strongest force for change in your own life.
I designed the logo myself. The sun and moon symbolise balance and remind us that each of us has both a light side and a shadow side. I acknowledge and accept my shadow side while encouraging my brighter side to lead, grow, and shine.
